Licensing and Pricing
Quick Info
Vanatec OpenAccess sells at € 750 ($ 900 / £ 600) per developer; there are no other costs or runtime license. The initial license fee also includes the first year of standard support (updates, forum/email support).
All other options described below are alternative or additional options. If you are looking for a higher support level, please click here.
If you are working just locally on your machine with either Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express, Oracle 10g Express or MySQL, you can get Vanatec OpenAccess Express - for free!
Licenses
OpenAccess is licensed per named developer. There is no runtime fee. All developer license prices include the first year of Standard Support (forum/email support, all updates).

Source Code
OpenAccess is also available as source code licenses. Those include a certain number of developer licenses with the right of using the source code for internal usage.

Special Programs
Academical
If you want to use OpenAccess in an academical environment for non-commerical use and non-internal services, you are eligible for a free academical license. Simply send us an email providing your full contact details and describe your project or environment. Upon approval you will receive a free license limited to forum support but including all updates.
Competitive Upgrade
If you are using a commercial competitive product and thinking about changing to OpenAccess, we are offering you a discount of 50% of the price you paid for this competitive product applied to our price (limited to 50% of our price). In order to request this discount simply add a proof of purchase (invoice and license) of such competitive product to your OpenAccess order.
Compatibility Partner Discounts
If you are or if you are becoming a customer of one of our compatibility partners, you are eligible for a 25% discount.
INETA, MVP and MRD
If you are a member of INETA or a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional or a Regional Director, pls. contact us directly and request your very special offer for non-commercial usage of OpenAccess.
