Vanatec is relatively small, but still investing most into object-relational mapping. A team of 12 is contributing to the success of OpenAccess, including 8 engineers with decades of experience in object persistence. That's why we got a great API making a developers life much easier.
The Java history brings great benefits for the .NET product: It is based on a standard developed and used by many vendors and companies worldwide - for years. Thousands of users have already brought in their experiences and enhancement requests which have been incorporated into the product. No other .NET O/R Mapper got those advantages. Our commitment is to listen carefully to our customers and prospects and to transfer their needs into our roadmap.
In addition our perfect integration into Viusal Studio has always been a top priority and one of our customers major reasons to go with us.
Our focus is on transparent persistence, high performance (unique fetch plan/group features), disconnected data scenarios (ObjectContainer, introduced by us) and reverse mapping (introduced by us) as well as database independence (allowing to deploy on different databases using different schemas and supporting different database products equally).
In summary, Vanatec offers the biggest development team, the longest experience and best implemenation for the most important features when it comes to object-relational mapping.
